Bronni Krieger is a visual artist from Naarm/Melbourne and has been exhibiting work since 2013. Her paintings explore the interrelationship between animal and human and are meticulously worked and rendered bringing the viewer to a state of emotional presence. Her work evokes love, vulnerability and the fleeting nature of life. Subtle messages are conveyed on behalf of those unable to speak, raising issues such as ethical farming, climate change and the extinction of Australian flora and fauna
New works for Krieger’s 2022 exhibition are influenced by the Know My Name movement where she pays homage to British artist Elizabeth Gould for her courageous journey to Australia in 1838. Krieger has spent the past 18 months of lockdown dwelling on and drawing inspiration from Moama/Yorta Yorta country.
Krieger has been a finalist in The Kilgour prize (2020), The EMSLA still life award (2018) and M Collection Art Award (2015)
